 Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How can I find out bid results?

A: Bid results are public information. Recent bid results are posted online. If the bid results you are seeking are not available online, please submit your request via mail to the Finance Department. Be sure to specify the particular service or material in which you are interested.

Q: How do I get on a bidder’s list?

A: To promote fair and impartial business opportunities, the Village of Woodridge publishes the (purchasing schedule?) and provides Current Bids to the public via this website. Because of this publicized information and open access, the Village no longer retains bidder lists. Business interested in doing business with the Village should:

1. Consult this website for upcoming opportunities

2. Register with Onvia Demandstar. Depending on the type of registration your business selects, Onvia will either:
a) Notify companies of bidding opportunities available within the Village of Woodridge (no charge) or a four-county area (minimal annual charge), or
b) Allow businesses to surf their site and download selected documents for a minimum charge per document. Business should email Demandstar.com directly or call 800-711-171 for more information.

3. Check the public notices in the “Reporter” newspaper and the “Bugle”.

Q: What ethical guidelines does the Village of Woodridge follow regarding gifts and gratuities?

A: The Village requires employees to follow the provisions of the State Officials and employees Ethics Act (5ILCS 430). The act prohibits officers and government employees and their spouses and immediate family living with them from receiving any gratuity or monetary value from a prohibited source. The act was intended to improve government ethics by greatly restricting the flow of gratuities in government.
