Village's Electric Aggregation Program Update

The Village is a member of the Will County Governmental League Electric Aggregation Group, which is a collection of municipalities brought together to levy their purchasing power to obtain lower electricity supply rates. Recently, the group went out to bid on electric supply for a year and received responses with rates that were higher than ComEd's current rate. The current electric aggregation contract expires after the October billing cycle. While the group is continuing to seek an alternative supplier that would provide a lower rate, if one cannot be secured, customers will be returned to ComEd. Efforts will continue beyond the contract expiration to obtain a lower rate. More information on the program, along with updated information, can be found at the link below.
